
The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has confirmed the squads for the 2025 season following the player draft, featuring major international stars and regional talent.
Saint Lucia Kings
Reigning champions, the Saint Lucia Kings, are aiming to defend their title with returnees Tim David and Tabraiz Shamsi, alongside promising leg-spinner Micah McKenzie and returning player Javelle Glen.
Guyana Amazon Warriors
2024 finalists, the Guyana Amazon Warriors, retain their strong core, led by experienced Imran Tahir and World Cup winner Moeen Ali. Key local stars Shimron Hetmyer and Romario Shepherd add depth to the squad.
Barbados Royals
The Barbados Royals have a powerful lineup anchored by Brandon King, Sherfane Rutherford, and Quinton de Kock. They are expected to announce additional overseas signings to enhance their roster, alongside promising talents from the West Indies Breakout League.
Trinbago Knight Riders
The Knight Riders bring back their seasoned Trinidadian core, including Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine, and have added T20 powerhouse Andre Russell. They’ve also signed ICC T20 World Cup winner Alex Hales and welcomed back Colin Munro.
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons
The Falcons feature a strong bowling attack led by Shakib Al Hasan, supported by Imad Wasim and Naveen-ul-Haq. Local talents Obed McCoy and Rahkeem Cornwall bolster their roster.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
The Patriots made headlines with the acquisitions of Jason Holder and Alick Athanaze from the Barbados Royals. They also re-signed Rilee Rossouw and added promising Trinidadian spin-bowlers.
The 2025 CPL kicks off on August 14 with the opening match featuring the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons taking on the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at Warner Park, St Kitts. Matches will also be hosted across Antigua & Barbuda, Saint Lucia, Barbados, and Trinidad & Tobago, before the tournament culminates in the final in Guyana on 21 September.
