The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Saint Lucia mourns the passing of Mr. Denys Springer, a distinguished scholar, committed public servant, and true friend of Taiwan.
Mr. Springer was an ardent supporter of Taiwanās democratic values and a passionate advocate for Taiwanās meaningful participation in international organizations. His deep understanding of Taiwanās untold history and progressing development enriched public discourse and strengthened the ties between Saint Lucia and Taiwan.
Through his writings, interviews, and public engagement, Mr. Springer championed the principles of freedom, dignity, and international cooperation. His voice was that of conscience, courage, and conviction.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. His legacy will live on in the enduring friendship between Taiwan and Saint Lucia, and he will be dearly remembered by the people and the government of Taiwan.
