Following Saint Lucia’s 46th Independence Anniversary celebrations, the national boxing team delivered an outstanding performance at the recently revived Caribbean Boxing Championship, held at the Beausejour Indoor Facility. This highly anticipated three-day event marked the first official gathering of regional boxers since 2019, bringing together top talent from across the Caribbean.
Saint Lucia showcased its boxing prowess, finishing third overall with an impressive tally of two gold medals, seven silver medals, and one bronze, accumulating a total of 21 points. The championship title went to Guyana, which dominated the event with nine gold medals and 35 points. Trinidad and Tobago secured second place with five gold medals and 28 points, while Antigua and Barbuda (14 points) and Guadeloupe (nine points) rounded out the standings in fourth and fifth place, respectively.
