BUCKEYE Partners (“Buckeye”) is aware of speculation regarding a potential work stoppage initiated by certain employees associated with ongoing union negotiations at its Saint Lucia terminal. Buckeye has been working in good faith and on positive terms with the National Workers Union (“NWU”) in furtherance of mutually executing a labor contract that will formalize Buckeye’s relationship with the NWU in St. Lucia. Throughout this process, Buckeye has respected its Saint Lucia employees’ right to organize and has collaborated with the NWU to progress negotiations at a pace deemed appropriate by both parties. At this time, we do not anticipate any operational disruptions.
We continue to work with the NWU to address its questions and concerns and look forward to concluding negotiations to arrive at a labour contract that is acceptable to both Buckeye and the NWU in the near future.
