“Leaving it in the hands of God.” That was the option given by family members of the island’s latest homicide victim as they attempt to come to terms with his gruesome murder.
On Sunday, August 21st 2022, Kevin McPhee, was gun downed in the community of Monchy in the presence of his girlfriend. The incident has not only left her traumatized but has thrown the entire family into a state of shock and has them at a loss for words.
McPhee, according to his loved ones was not a known troublemaker, they described him as a quiet boy who didn’t take a liking to trouble activities.
In an interview with News reporter Solange Alfred, the family lamented for young men to put down their guns and find other non-fatal means of settling disputes.
The twenty-seven-year-old deceased is the island’s 43rd confirmed homicide for 2022.
