Two men are now dead after two separate shooting incidents while one is at hospital nursing injuries to his legs after a robbery attempt.
Early Sunday morning a photo of a young man with an apparent gunshot wound to the face went viral on various social media platforms. According to reports the discovery of the lifeless body was made in the banana fields in the community of Roseau.
At approximately 2:30pm Sunday, January 16, 2022, a young man was reportedly seated under a bus shelter in Monchy when a Red Suzuki Sx4 pulled up alongside him. According to well-placed sources, a gun man emerged from the vehicle and proceeded to snatch the victim’s chain after which he discharged multiple rounds in the victim’s direction hitting in both legs.
The victim was transported to the OKEU hospital in stable condition.
Details about a third shooting in the Dennery community are sketchy, however, the Voice has been reliably informed that the victim succumbed to the violent attack.
Officers attached to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force are investigating the three separate shooting incidents.
