On Wednesday July 14, 2021 the Ministry of Health and Wellness received confirmation from the Ezra Long Laboratory of 9 new cases of COVID-19. This is from a batch of 225 samples taken during the period July 10, 2021 to July 13, 2021. These samples were processed on July 13, 2021.
The Ministry of Health also reports one new COVID-19 related death. To date, the total number of COVID-19 deaths in-country is 50 and the total number of COVID-19 related deaths is 37. COVID-19 related death #37 is a 53-year-old male from the Castries district.
Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 31 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 bringing the total number of active cases in country to date to 117. Presently, two of the active are requiring critical care at the Respiratory Hospital. The new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in country to date to 5439.
