The Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) is mourning the death of Woman Correctional Officer Two Yolanne Braville, who passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. In honour of her service to the state, a military service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Victory Pentecostal Church in La Tourney, Vieux Fort.
On Thursday, July 22, 2021 there shall be a viewing of the body of Officer Braville exclusively for the staff of the Bordelais Correctional Facility; commencing from 10:00 a.m. to mid-day. On Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 10:00 a.m the body will lie at the Vieux Fort Independence Square where members of the public are invited to pay their respects. At 1:15 p.m. the funeral party will make its way to the Victory Pentecostal Church for the funeral ceremony.
The body will then be interred at the Magaret O’Brian Private Cemetery at La Tourney, Vieux Fort.
A correctional officer of 14 years, WCO 11 Braville was well appreciated by her workmates for her efficient yet cheerful deposition, sharp turn-out in uniform, and professionalism. Officer Braville last worked in the Gatehouse, a key unit within the Bordelais Correctional Facility.
The Department of Home Affairs and National Security extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of WCO 11 Yolanne Braviile.
