One of the closely contested races on election night has finally been called.
The Labour Party’s Virginia Albert – Poyotte has captured one of the most coveted seats in the race, Babonneau, after amassing twenty (20) more votes than the United Workers Party’s Ezekiel Joseph who scored 3180.
Virginia Albert – Poyotte, a native of Plateau, Babonneau taught at the Babonneau and the Laguerre Primary Schools from 1971 to 1988 and served as principal of the Fond Assau Combined School from 1988 to 2005.
