The incumbent Alva Baptiste has once again secured the Laborie seat for the Saint Lucia Labour Party with a total of 2170 votes.
Baptiste a former Minister of soundly defeated his opponent Francisco Jean Pierre by a total of 952 votes.
Baptiste has been the Parliamentary Representative for Laborie for the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) since 2006. He was Minister of External Affairs, International Trade & Civil Aviation in the 2011-2016 Kenny Anthony Administration.
