Castries Central has a new M.P. in Independent Labour Candidate, Richard Frederick.
Frederick eclipsed the incumbent Sarah Flood Beaubrun by 605 votes in a fight for the Castries-Central seat.
The Saint Lucia Labour Party had made the possibility of a victory slightly easier for Frederick after deciding not to field a candidate in the Castries Central constituency in this year’s General Election.
This is the second time Richard Federick will be representing the Castries Central constituency, his last stint being with the United Workers Party under the leadership of the late Sir John Compton.
