On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, the Ministry of Health and Wellness received confirmation from the Ezra Long Laboratory of 6 new cases of COVID-19. This is from a batch of 98 samples taken on April 23, 2021, and April 24, 2021. These samples were processed on April 26, 2021.
Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 17 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 bringing the total number of active cases in the country to date to 88. Presently, all of the active cases are doing well. The new cases bring the total number of cases diagnosed in the country to date to 4508.
Today, the Ministry of Health also reports one COVID-19 related death bringing the total number of deaths in the country to date to 74. Death #74 is a 59-year-old female from the Soufriere district with an underlying medical illness.
