Karen Peter, Managing Director of Caribbean Metals Ltd, has been elected to serve a third consecutive term as President of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce at the 136th Annual General Meeting of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce held on Wednesday 25th November, 2020. Having served the traditional two terms, the business community went for continuity in the face of the COVID-19 Pandemic and an economy ravaged by the effects of COVID-19. An Accountant by training, Peter will seek to help the Chamber, the wider business community and country, “Adapt Operate and Thrive” in an uncertain next normal.
Three new Directors were elected to help lead the Chamber for 2020/2021 with the southern business community winning one of the coveted positions in the person of Rhon Stephen alongside, President of the St. Lucia Manufacturers Association, Marguerite Desir, who got the nod along with former Chief Engineer and now Managing Director of FDL Consulting Gilbert Fontenard.
