The management of Helen Television Services (HTS) and the leadership of the National Workers Union (NWU), including shop stewards, have begun discussions on industrial relations, focusing on an exchange of proposals.
Both parties are committed to developing initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, training, personal development, and improving conditions of employment, as well as revising the existing industrial agreement.
According to the NWU, the discussions have been promising, with both sides expressing a desire to reach a conclusion within a reasonable timeframe.
HTS, which is the longest serving television station on the island, transmitted its first test broadcast in December of 1982.
The NWU serves as the bargaining agent for the employees of Helen Television Services (HTS).
