Prime Minister’s Budget Address 2019/2020 to focus on People Empowerment

A major focus of the Prime Minister’s Budget Address to be delivered today, Monday, April 15th 2019, will be people-centred growth and Saint Lucia’s Medium Term Development Strategy.

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Growth, Job Creation and External Affairs, Honourable Allen Michael Chastanet, will table the Appropriation Bill 2019/2020 and deliver the Budget Address at 5:00 PM.

The Prime Minister’s Address follows the debate on the Estimates of Expenditure which took place from April 10th – 11th 2019.

This afternoon the Prime Minister will also review Saint Lucia’s domestic economic performance and examine the outlook for 2019.

The tabling of the Appropriation Bill 2019/2020 and the delivery of the Prime Minister’s Budget Address will be carried live on Cable TV via the National Television Network.
