The Voice has been reliably informed that Senator Dr. Ubaldus Raymond has officially resigned from his post in Government. News of his resignation comes just days before the United Workers Party Government’s Budget presentation, which is scheduled for next week . Dr. Raymond has reportedly stepped down from both the Saint Lucia Senate and from his post as Public Service Minister.

The Government of Saint Lucia has not made any official announcement of the Senator’s resignation.

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet has from all indications accepted the resignation of the Senator. Dr. Raymond is currently out of the country on government business.

This is not the first time the Senator has been at the centre of controversy – in 2017, two 18 year old women were arrested in connection with a blackmail case involving the Senator. The case revolved around nude photos of the Senator which had been shared to the internet. At the time, the 18-year-old women were charged with blackmail. That matter was later settled by way of Mediation.

    “The paid liars have yet to settle on a plausible story for Uboldass liar’s public disgrace. We really don’t want to say more until we change the subject from the arrogant ex-senator (who does not have a clue what public service means) to the whistleblower (who publicized the ex-senator’s views about the very public he never served).”
