Monumental Honour for “Mindoo”

Image of Monument — DESCRIPTION OF MONUMENT – This monument is a specifically designed structure, the defining characteristics of which are; the oval shape representing a cricket oval, ten columns representing ten players with bats raised in formation to salute the passing through en-route to the pavilion of a player having scored a century; in this case representing a fallen hero signified by the bat placed on top of his final resting place in the monument; with each column bearing a plaque highlighting an important milestone of his cricketing career and a football carved into the tilework at the entrance to the monument in recognition of his enormous contribution to the game of football and a portrait of this phenomenal sportsman printed on a tile on the headstone bearing the Inscription “National Sports Hero”, capturing the spirit of Mindoo& creating the perfect environment for his final resting place.
