As the Windies Women prepare for their tour of Pakistan later this month, Cricket West Indies said they have confirmed the dates for the ODI leg of the tour but are still working out details for the T20 matches.

CWI CEO Johnny Grave revealed on Wednesday that everything was almost in place for the tour to go ahead as planned.

“The three ODIs are confirmed and are being played in the UAE,” he told SportsMax.tv, adding that the matches will be played on February 7th,9th and 11th in Dubai.

“We are meeting the players and WIPA next week to discuss the PCB’s proposal to play three T20Is in Karachi. Eastern Star International will present the security plan and give their assessment then,” he said.

Pakistan sources said that a tentative plan from the Pakistan Cricket Board has the Windies Women arriving in Pakistan on January 26th with the first T20 to be played on January 31st. The second match would be played on February 1st and the third on February 3rd.

All three matches are to be played at the South End Club Ground in Karachi.

Sportsmax.tv had reported in December 2018 that the Windies Women would be touring
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates to play three ODIs and three T20 internationals between late January and early February 2019.

However, Director of Cricket Jimmy Adams said at the time that logistics were still being finalized before the tour could go ahead.

The Windies Women are currently engaged in a two-week camp in Antigua.
