RAYNEAU is a household name in Saint Lucia, a leading, purely local firm in the island’s expanded construction industry. From humble beginnings with two old Bobcats less than two decades ago, RayneauGajadhar grew his company over the years into the formidable force it is today in the construction field. Rayneau has also developed a reputation for quick delivery of products and services contracted by private and public firms. Over the years, the company grew from producing and selling concrete, quarry and other industrial products and equipment to sale of building supplies, home and hotel construction, building edifices, highways and roads – and taking on the most difficult jobs. Rayneau’s conspicuous fleet of trucks, tractors and other products from R.G. Quarry is ever-present on the island roads. Long established as a Saint Lucia brand, The RayneauGajadhar Group of Companies has now gone regional – and global. With eyes on the Caribbean market and beyond, the Group has entered into a business alliance with one of the most formidable and reputable names in the world of construction equipment, Hyundai. The following report tells the story of RayneauGajadhar’s latest ventures, including the official opening of his company’s second brand new business complex in Castries – on the same day the Hyundai partnership was sealed.:
Rayneau Rentals and Sales has the dealership for Hyundai Heavy Equipment and the new company held a ceremony last weekend to officially launch the new service – simultaneously with the formal opening a well of Rayneau’s new premises at Vide Boutielle in Castries.
The opening last friday solidifies the long-held vision and strategy of the company’s owner, Rayneau Gajadhar, to become a vertically integrated organization within the industrial and construction industry.
This new business unit will expand on the current offerings of the Rayneau Gajadhar (RG) Group of Companies by providing the sale and rental of a wide variety of heavy and light equipment to the Saint Lucia marketplace.
The core goals of the Rayneau Rentals and Sales team is to provide the best in customer service, in addition to offering a well-trained technical staff to service the machines and tools.
All equipment for rent and sale is currently online, which allows customers to get detailed information on all equipment available.
The company says online bookings will be phased in by the end of 2018 for the rental side of the business to facilitate customers seamlessly.
The Rayneau Rentals and Sales team also plans to continue to innovate and operate at the leading edge of the construction industry.
Expansion is already in progress for Rayneau Rentals and Sales with developments commencing in Dominica in 2018 and other key Caribbean islands will also be prioritized in 2019.
This direction is in tandem with the Hyundai Construction Equipment dealership appointments in seven other Caribbean islands, including: Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Martin, St. Vincent & the
Grenadines and Tortola.
The partnership between Hyundai Heavy Equipment is not only timely but synchronized with Gajadhar’s mission to expand his business throughout the Caribbean.
General Manager of Rayneau Rentals & Sales, Savvy Plummer, speaking at the opening ceremony, said: “From early on, we recognized the strength of the Hyundai brand in terms of the world-class quality and versatility of the vehicles.
