Police have revealed that shooting victim, 36-year-old Mervin Francis, of China Town, Marigot died as a result of hemorrhagic shock due to cardiac rupture, secondary to multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
The findings, they say, are based on a post mortem conducted on Francis’s body last Friday.
Francis, also known as “Vines”, Francis was discovered lying at the side of the Marigot main road with what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds early Friday morning.
He was pronounced dead by a medical doctor on the scene.

His death was the 21st homicide for the year.
