THE Royal by rex resorts is giving back to its corporate clients in a very tangible way.

At least three corporate clients will in the days and weeks ahead experience what The Royal has to offer in terms of accommodation, spa treatments and fine dining. The three won prizes at a Cocktail hosted for local clients to formally introduce new facilities at the hotel.

Claudia McNamarah of Atlantic University School of Medicine won a Weekend for Two. Kenneth Casimir of Inter Island Architects – who incidentally designed the refurbished Conference Room – won a Dinner for Two at CHIC Restaurant, and Siann Harris of Llewelyn Xavier’s Art Studio won a Spa Treatment at the signature Royal Spa.

General Manager, Richard Michelin, extended a warm welcome to all present and expressed sincere thanks for their support over the years. He noted that the upgrades to the Conference Room in particular, is a direct response to feedback received from local clients. The carpet has been replaced by ceramic tiles, the floral curtains replaced with new awnings, and new lighting fixtures adorn the ceiling. New air-condition units have also been installed. The facility was redesigned by Inter Island Architects with Eve Frederick as the contractor. Artwork (paintings) were sourced from Llewelyn Xavier and Nicole Edgecombe Elliott.

The newly refurbished Conference Room at The Royal is open, not just to corporate clients, but also for special functions such as wedding receptions, birthday and anniversary celebrations, as well as family gatherings. Michelin was keen to point out that all materials for the project were purchased from local suppliers, ploughing much needed revenue into the local economy.

Following the Cocktail and brief remarks, patrons were invited to visit one of the newly upgraded Suites at The Royal with Rain Shower and Tub, Flat Screen Television and free Wifi. The Royal by rex resorts has 95 suites, 67 of which have been upgraded over the years, some in the last few months. Patrons were so enticed by the charm of the Suites that they stayed longer than expected, raving about the level of comfort and convenience on offer.

Michelin said The Royal will mount an early Staycation promotion in April, to try to tap into the local market, and give our people the opportunity to get ‘the Royal experience.’ He said the fact that The Royal is not an all-inclusive hotel gives locals more flexibility to decide what they want, and tailor their package to suit their particular preferences.
