THE Kiwanis Club of Castries has announced that it has successfully recruited three new professionals into its ranks.
The induction ceremony for the trio took place recently at one of the club’s weekly meetings held at the AubergeSeraphine Hotel, and was conducted by Past Lieutenant Governor Division 27 of the Eastern Canada and Caribbean District of Kiwanis International Peter Alexander.
The three, Andrew Callender, Managing Director of Alternative Security Services Ltd., Herman Joseph, Shipping Supervisor at Cox & Company Ltd and Henry Henry a Power Systems Operator at Lucelec, say they are proud to be associated with the Kiwanis.
They said they were especially attracted to the fact that the Kiwanis emphasis is on young children. In fact they were thrilled to learn that the Kiwanis was a global organization of volunteers committed to changing the world “one child and one community at a time” They have all pledged to utilize their skills for the benefit of the children of St. Lucia
President of the Kiwanis Club of Castries Louise Vite’ in welcoming the members, said she was indeed pleased to welcome them into the Kiwanis Movement as they brought “new fellowship, talent, manpower and ideas to the club”. She promised that there will be several opportunities to involve themselves in the activities of the club, which will bring rich and rewarding experiences into their lives.
