EQUIPMENT at the Owen King EU Hospital is currently being tested. The testing is one of the phases leading to the eventual transition from the Victoria Hospital to the new facility.
âWe have to ensure that electrical systems, water systems, the mechanical systems, all of those things meet certification and are passed. The buzz word is quality,â Commissioning Director for the EU Hospital, Dwight Calixte said.
He added: âThe ultra-modern facility boasts a high tech radiology unit. The Obstetrics unit will be able to accommodate up to ten simultaneous birthing deliveries, with gas systems installed at the clientsâ bedside instead of portable tanksâ
Calixte said the new hospital will help eliminate the need for people to travel to other countries for health services.
