THE Massy United Insurance Under-19 Schools Cricket Tournament continued on Thursday with two matches.The highlight of the day was a career best 8 wickets for 26 runs for left arm spinner Jaden Elibox representing Leon Hess Comprehensive. (LHCSS).
At the Monchy playing field CARE batting first against Hess, was skidded out for 58 in 12.1 overs, with Prince Gabriel making 25. Elibox, bowling with great control routed the opposition. In reply, Hess made light work of the total, taking just 5.5 overs to cross the finish line, ending on 59 for 1.
At the Gros Islet Playing Field, SDA Academy completed a comfortable 104 run victory over Vide Bouteille Secondary. SDA was dismissed for 202 in 35 overs, with LenusCepal top scoring with 75 which included of 15 fours. Rumario Simmons with 33 and ChazCepal 22 also made valuable contributions.
Doing the damage for Vide Bouteillewere off spinners Marquis Serieux with 4 for 11 and Marlon Remy 4 for 20.
In reply, Vide Bouteille Secondary seemed comfortably placed on 82 for 3, but lost losing their last 7 wickets for the addition of just 16 runs, They were bowled out for 98 in 22 overs. Marlon Remy led the scoring with 34 and Janai Thomas 17.
Bowling for SDA Academy, Sherkeam George bagged 5 for 23, ChazCepal 2 for 15 and Rumario Simmons 2 for 38.
Meanwhile, at the Monchy Playing Field, Babonneau Secondary totally outplayed Ciceron Secondary, winning convincingly by 226 runs. Babonneau Secondary made 310 all out in 32.3 overs, with a century for Rene Montoute and a half-century for KimaniMelius.
Rene Montoute batted scored 150, his first ever century which included 20 fours and 9 sixes, while Melius made an attractive 71 which included 14 fours and 2 sixes.
Wilson Charlemagne with 37 also made a valuable contribution.
Bowling for Ciceron Secondary, Denfar Edward had 3 for 76 and Garvanni Clement 2 for 70.
In reply, Ciceron Secondary was bowled out in the 19th over for 84.
For Babonneau Secondary, the pick of the bowlers were Rene Montoute completing an outstanding all round performance with 4 for 12 and Christian Alfred 4 for 18.
