THE Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), through its reformed Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, in collaboration with the Seamen’s Union, embarked on a journey to deliver festive gestures geared towards making a difference in communities this Christmas Season, by giving back to former port employees and their families.
On Thursday, December 23,, employees stationed at facilities island-wide, as well as representatives from the Union, commenced the inaugural drive which sought to bring Christmas cheer to the doorsteps of SLASPA family members who would be most appreciative of it. Employees from various departments at the organization, devoted time, talent and expertise towards ensuring these hampers were packed with love and delivered with smiles and best wishes for the season.
“During a season cognizant with sharing and caring, it is important for us to remember persons who have dedicated extensive years of their lives to the organization, through the delivery of service in their respective areas of work but are currently hindered by circumstances beyond their control,” says General Manager/CEO of SLASPA, Mr.Keigan Cox.
The recipients expressed gratitude to representatives of SLASPA and the Authority was commended by Ms. Janice Eugene, General Secretary at the Seamen’s Union, for developing an initiative which fosters an environment of cheer this holiday season. The Authority has indicated its dedication to ensuring this gesture is continued annually with potential for growth in number of recipients.
The Council, Management and Staff of SLASPA would like to extend Season’s Greetings to all its customers, stakeholders and the general public.
