St. Lucia for C’wealth Beach V-Ball
NASSAU, Bahamas, CMC – Four Caribbean sides will be part of the inaugural beach volleyball competition at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games to take place in the Bahamas. Jamaica, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago and hosts Bahamas will provide teams for both the boys’ and girls’ competitions at the Games which is scheduled for July 19 to 23.
Lions, Leos Spread Christmas Cheer
THE Castries Lions and Leos recently took time to share Christmas with the less fortunate. On Saturday December 10, the members of the clubs visited the TiRocher Combined School for the annual Children’s Christmas party. The 140 students were treated to goodies and each child received a gift from Santa. This year the gifts were personalized as members were given the names of the students for whom they were to purchase the toys.

THE recent appointment of 23 city police officers by the Office of the Castries Constituency Council (CCC) in an effort to stem criminality in the city is a commendable move that was way past due. Over the years, the lament has been that not enough security personnel were deployed in the city to ensure the safety of citizens and tourists, especially during rush hour and peak business days. That anomaly has resulted in many calling on the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force to step up its efforts at fighting crime by filling that need.
250 Kids At TOCO Party In Micoud
ON the heels of the staging of a successful Saint Lucia Longboard Competition, TOCO Foundation pulled off its 2016 community Christmas party last Friday with approximately 250 children in attendance. The party was the outcome of a partnership between TOCO Foundation and Parliamentary Representative
