C.O. William has informed the general public that the scheduled completion of the final phase of road works will not be completed before the reopening of school on Monday.
The busy Monday morning and possibly the rest of the week is set to see a lull in traffic as the company reported difficulty in completing the finishing layer on the prepared road due to the ongoing volcanic activity in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
According to a press release from the company “the shipment for the completion of works has been delayed from Barbados.”
The affected roads are Union Terrace Road to the Allen Bousquet Highway and Vieux Secreic/Corinth bypass road to the Corinth bridge.
