With EC$20,000.00 at stake for the champion team the battle lines are drawn and the stage is set for what is expected to be a thrilling second round of competition in the St.Lucia Football Asociation / Vizions Michel’s Electrical sponsored Super League Football tournament currently being played at the Beausejour Cricket Ground.
Following four nights of competition the top 10 teams are through to the second round and will now battle it out for the next two days to determine who will move on to the third round of the tournament.
At 4:30 p.m. today, Roseau will come up against Canaries. Then at 6:30 p.m. Vieux Fort South meets Mon Repos, and at 8:00 p.m. Mabouya Valley takes on home team Gros Islet.
Tomorrow, from 5:00 p.m. Central Castries plays Micoud and Anse la Raye plays Soufriere from 7.00 p.m.
Meanwhile, On Wednesday evening Micoud and Central Castries nosed ahead of Marchand and Vieux Fort North 4 – 3 and 5 – 4 respectively in a double penalty shoot out after the scores were locked nil all at the final whistle.
