The third edition of the SPL T20 tournament bowls off this weekend at the Philip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort with a power encounter on Friday May 24th with Choiseul Credit Union Choiseul Craftmasters coming up against Club Whispers Soufriere Stumpers at 7:30pm.
The power-packed weekend continues on Saturday evening with two matches; the defending champions South Castries Cricket Association (SCCA) South Castries Lions will be coming up against the Mon Repos Credit Union Mon Repos Pioneers, a fixture which has been changed time-wise and will now be at 5:00pm followed by the home team Vieux Fort North Raiders taking on the Gros Islet Knights at 8:30pm.
The weekend games wrap up from 3:30 pm with the runners up in last year’s tournament, Avatar City Blasters coming up against Club Whispers Soufriere Stumpers followed by the Choiseul Credit Union Choiseul Craftmasters and Mabouya Valley Renegades going head to head at 7:30pm for the final Match Up. Tickets for Vieux Fort start at EC$15 at the grounds.
After the weekend, roads will lead to the Gros Islet Playing Field on the 28th and 29th of May with games bowling off at 7pm. The games at Gros Islet are free and may see the likes of Daren Sammy, Johnsons Chareles and Andre Fletcher featuring for their teams. On Tuesday the Avatar City Blasters take on the MabouyaValley Renegades in what can be a vital game for both teams and on Wednesday the Gros Islet Knights take on the SCCA South Castries Lions. We are sure to see some Lucelec Power Boundaries and Nagico Sixes throughout the tournament. The Party has began!
