THE Bexon Youth Committee, a community based group with a desire and mandate to assist members of our community, especially the sick and vulnerable, is holding its first big fund raiser next month.
It’s a Ms. Bexon Youth Pageant that is intended to be an annual affair. The event will be held on October 15 under the treme “Ushering a sense of creativity and responsibility in our community” .
The show will be held upstairs Kamaki’s Wholesale in L’Abayee.
The Pageant is to raise funds to assist Mrs. Veronica Mathurin of Marc, who was diagnosed with a medical condition and is in need of urgent medical assistance. According to a spokesman for the Committee, Mathurin is scheduled for this procedure on October 20, and has started treatment in preparation “for that tough journey.”
Speaking of the pageant itself, he said: “We will showcase talent from across the Bexon Community and make this activity a memorable one”.
Five young women taking part in the pageant are: Zannick Mangal, Nichole Elibox, Janniah Jean, Carrisa Richard and Shannon Joseph.
