It’s not going to be smooth sailing on the Caribbean Sea as the Met Office at Hewanorra International Airport has indicated that seas will be moderate with swells 4 to 6 feet with a gradual increase in wave and swell height expected over the next few days.
Upon going to press last evening there was no final figure as to the actual number of yachts and sea worthy craft participating in this year’s flotilla, but based on last year’s record breaking number of entries and supporters, one expects to see an increase in numbers at the starting line Castries harbour.
Meanwhile, on Sunday November 8 a total of 60 boats set sail for the third ARC+ from Gran Canaria – São Vicente to Saint Lucia.
