SunSwept Resorts extended its commitment to wellbeing into the wider Saint Lucian community as a Bronze Sponsor of SLASPA’s Walk-4-Miles 2026, supporting an initiative that brings people together through physical activity while raising funds for local health and community organisations.

Held on Sunday, 4 October, on the runway of Hewanorra International Airport, the fourth annual walk brought together over 400 participants. Organised by the Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), the event encouraged active living and collective support for people facing health challenges.

For SunSwept Resorts, the parent company of BodyHoliday and StolenTime, the sponsorship reportedly reflects a belief that wellbeing extends beyond the guest experience. It also means supporting the health of the communities where its team members and their families live.

“Wellbeing is central to who we are at SunSwept Resorts, and that commitment extends to our people, their families and our wider community. Supporting Walk-4-Miles was an opportunity to encourage healthy movement while contributing to organisations that provide vital care and support across Saint Lucia. We are pleased to play a part in an initiative that brings people together for such a meaningful purpose,” said Genevieve Dixon, Corporate Director of Human Resources at SunSwept Resorts.

The 2026 event supported four beneficiaries: the Saint Lucia Cancer Society, Faces of Cancer Saint Lucia, the Saint Lucia Diabetic and Hypertensive Association, and the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities. These organisations provide education, advocacy and assistance to individuals and families across the island.

The sponsorship complements the wellbeing experiences offered at BodyHoliday and StolenTime, where guests can make time for movement, rest and personal renewal. Through its support of Walk-4-Miles, SunSwept Resorts believes it helped extend the benefits of an active, connected approach to wellbeing into the local community.

First introduced in 2023 as part of SLASPA’s 40th-anniversary celebrations, Walk-4-Miles initially focused on cancer awareness and support for Faces of Cancer. Now in its fourth year, the initiative has broadened its reach to embrace additional health and community causes.
