Law enforcement officers are actively investigating the murder of a foreign national residing in Saint Lucia , which occurred , on Monday , July 13, at Marigot, in the quarter of Castries.
The victim has since been identified as 33-year-old Abdallah Ragab Abozorik of Saudi Arabia.
Reports state that on Monday, about 9:10 p.m., officers attached to the Marigot Police Station responded to a report of a shooting at China Town, Marigot.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an unresponsive male inside a vehicle. He was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing. The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force urges anyone with information that may assist in this investigation to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 456-3754.

Meanwhile , the police have provided an update on the fatal accident involving Junior Derose.
Police sources have confirmed that Francis St. Clair has been granted $10,000 bail following the fatal accident involving Junior Derose.
On Sunday, October 19, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers from the Dennery Police Station responded to a report of a vehicular collision on the Dennery-Vieux Fort Highway.
Preliminary investigations indicated that two motor vehicles were involved in the accident. The driver of one of the vehicles sustained injuries and was transported to St. Jude Hospital for medical attention.
Unfortunately, thirty-eight-year-old Junior Derose of Micoud succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical professional.
On Monday, July 13, 2026 authorities formally charged fifty-five-year-old Francis St. Clair of Grande Riviere, Gros Islet, with the offense of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving.
He was subsequently taken to the Second District Court for bail proceedings.
