
On Wednesday, the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Under-16 Netball Festival kicked off at the Beausejour Indoor Facility (BIF), featuring nine participating schools in an exhilarating display of young talent.
While the scores were not the main focus, the teams exhibited determination and skill as they fought fiercely for victory, playing two halves of eight minutes each.

St. Joseph’s Convent (SJC) had a mixed record, achieving a solid 7-1 win, an intense 8-8 draw, and a close 3-7 loss.
Micoud Secondary faced a challenging 1-7 defeat but bounced back with a victory.
Choiseul Secondary showcased their strength with a commendable 7-4 win and a hard-fought 8-8 draw.

Leon Hess Comprehensive celebrated a noteworthy 4-1 triumph.
The Saint Lucia Sports Academy encountered challenges, initially falling 7-4 but recovering with a decisive 4-1 victory.
Babonneau Secondary secured narrow wins of 1-0 and 5-1, while Vieux Fort Comprehensive faced a tough outing, suffering losses of 1-5, 0-18, and 4-10.

In contrast, Soufriere Comprehensive dominated with impressive victories of 18-0 and 7-3.
The festival continued yesterday (May 23), showcasing the burgeoning talent of these young athletes.
