On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at about 1:20 p.m., the Dennery Police Station received a report of a vehicular collision along the Praslin/Dennery Highway. This vehicular collision claimed the life of one male.
At the scene, Officers discovered a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and an omnibus, both vehicles sustained extensive damage to their front ends. Personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service also responded to the collision and rendered aid to the victims.
The occupants of both vehicles were transported to the St. Jude Hospital via ambulance for medical care. One of the occupants, identified as the operator of the omnibus, succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
The deceased has been formally identified as twenty-eight-year-old Greg Laurent, of Fond Berange, Laborie.
