On Friday, August 30, about 7:30 a.m., the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries received a report of a shooting that occurred at Forgotten Boundaries in Morne Du Don, Castries, resulting in a female sustaining fatal injuries.
The Central Police Station and the Criminal Investigations Department in Castries responded to the incident, where officers found a female with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. The Saint Lucia Fire Service provided assistance to the victim and conveyed her to the Owen King European Union Hospital (OKEU) for further medical treatment.
The victim later succumbed to her injuries and her death was confirmed by a medical practitioner. The deceased has been identified as twenty-six-year-old (26) Jeannelle Didier, also known as ‘Janique’, of Pavee Road, Castries.
