THE Caribbean Cultural Training Hub is pleased to announce its fifth call for applications for creative specialization courses in Havana, Cuba. This initiative is undertaken in the framework of the UNESCO programme Transcultura: Integrating Cuba, the Caribbean and the European Union through Culture and Creativity, funded by the European Union.
The programme will offer 72 scholarships to young people from the Caribbean for participation in the following courses:
• Cuban popular dances (9 to 20 September 2024), University of the Arts
• Design of commercial spaces (9 to 20 September 2024), Higher Institute of Design
• Artistic serigraphy workshop (9 to 20 September 2024), Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets (FCBC)
• Furniture design (9 September to 4 October 2024), Higher Institute of Design
• Pictorial materials in art and conservation: cleaning paintings (23 September to 4 October 2024), University of the Arts
• Creating dynamic images (23 September to 4 October 2024), University of the Arts. This call is aimed at young cultural professionals between 18 and 35, with nationality and permanent residency in 17 Caribbean countries including Saint Lucia.
