It is with deep sadness that the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) mourns the passing of Randall Yorke, a beloved figure whose immense contributions to the development of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival will forever be remembered. Randall’s unwavering dedication, passion, and laughter have left an indelible mark on the festival and the hearts of all who worked with him.

Randall’s involvement with the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival spanned many years, and his contribution was instrumental in shaping the event into the world-renowned celebration of music and culture it is today. In addition to his invaluable contribution to the festival’s development, Randall Yorke’s security company played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and success of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival and Saint Lucia Carnival. His company’s professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence established an admired and esteemed benchmark.

“Beyond his professional achievements, Randall, which we affectionately called “Patch,” took his security duties seriously but was a warm and affable individual who touched the lives of many with his infectious laughter and kind spirit. Before his passing on May 20th, his physical presence was already deeply missed during the 2023 edition of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival. Still, his son, Lonn, held the fort down, thus ensuring that his legacy will live on in the memories and hearts of those who had the pleasure of knowing him”, remarked Chairman of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, Thaddeus M. Antoine.

During this challenging time, the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority extends its deepest condolences to his wife Brenda, his children, the extended Yorke family, friends, and colleagues. We join in honouring and celebrating his remarkable contributions to the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival and his lasting impact on the tourism industry in Saint Lucia.

May Randall Yorke rest in eternal peace, knowing that his dedication, passion, and laughter have left an enduring imprint on the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, Saint Lucia Carnival, and the people of Saint Lucia.
