The stretch of road from Massy Mega all the way to Gros Islet has been renamed. The road is now known as the Sir Julian R. Hunte Highway.

Family, friends, government officials, and ministers were on hand last Sunday to witness the road’s renaming and celebrate the achievements of one of Saint Lucia’s illustrious sons.
The endeavours of Sir Julian Robert Hunte, in his professional and political careers are outstanding. Co-founder of the Saint Lucia National Trust and serving as Saint Lucia’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 1998 to 2001 are just two of Hunte’s life undertakings geared at nation building.
