A resident of Castries has become the island’s 17th homicide in less than 90 days into the new year.
According to reports, Ian Joseph, alias, “Monkey”, was gun downed last night on Jeremie Street, Castries by unknown assailants. Joseph’s body was found by first responders riddled with bullets on the concrete sidewalk.
Gun violence has long plagued the island, the latest high-profile shooting being that of police officer, Nathan Timaitre.
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force are investigating the latest homicide.
