The Seajays Swim Club delivered an exceptional performance, clinching the overall first-place prize at the 26th Annual RHAC Invitational, held from April 9 to 12, 2026, at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Centre in Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
Seaside Aquatics secured second place, while the Sharks Swim Club of St. Lucia showcased impressive talent, finishing third overall at the highly anticipated swim meet.
This year’s RHAC Invitational followed closely after the 2026 CARIFTA Aquatics Championships, where Saint Lucian swimmer Sapphire Parks stood out, earning an impressive 10 medals (5 Gold, 4 Silver, 1 Bronze) and being named High Point Champion for Girls 11–12.
Many of the region’s elite swimmers also competed at the RHAC Invitational. Notable highlights from Seajays Swim Club included Sapphire Parks, who took home bronze in the 100M Freestyle (12 & Under Girls) and gold in the 50M Breaststroke (12 & Under Girls).
Maya Andrew also delivered outstanding performances in the same category, contributing valuable points for her club. Miles Andrew made waves in the 9 & Under Boys division, winning gold in several races. Additionally, Ziv Reynolds also showcased the rising talent among the youth swimmers.
The event underscored the resilience and growth of aquatic sports in the region, featuring participation across various disciplines. It serves as a vital platform for developing young athletes in Saint Lucia.
The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority (SLTA) proudly sponsored the 26th Annual RHAC Regional Swim Meet, which attracted approximately 400 swimmers and an additional 400 support members, including family, reinforcing the island’s status as a premier destination for sports tourism and regional events.
Athletes from across the Caribbean and beyond gathered for one of the region’s most significant aquatic meets, utilizing this platform to achieve personal bests, forge regional camaraderie, and prepare for higher-level international competitions.
Participating countries included Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Grenada, Martinique, Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United States.
The official opening ceremony on April 10 set the stage for an exciting showcase of talent and sportsmanship. Events like the RHAC Regional Swim Meet play a crucial role in driving visitor arrivals and supporting the local economy while positioning Saint Lucia as a hub for high-quality sporting experiences in the Caribbean.
The St. Lucia Aquatics Federation (SLAF) extends hearty congratulations to all local clubs that participated, with special recognition to:
