Action Heats Up in SLFA Boys U-12 League and Vieux Fort South Senior Men’s Competition

The SLFA Inc. Boys Under-12 District League, powered by the Ministry of Youth Development & Sports, the National Lotteries Authority, and ACADO, continued over the weekend with a series of exciting matches across the island.

At the Corinth Playing Field on Saturday, June 21st, tournament leaders Gros Islet maintained their unbeaten streak with a commanding 3–0 victory over a much-improved Marchand team. Goals came from Jason Williams in the 6th minute, Nathan Christophe in the 38th, and Khari Elibox in the 39th.

In the day’s second match at Corinth, Central Castries secured a hard-fought 4–1 win over South Castries. Insiah Pinel netted twice in the 33rd and 41st minutes, with additional goals coming from Reuben Harris (29′) and Tayshaun Paul (45′). South Castries’ lone goal was scored by Karim Placide in the 19th minute.

Meanwhile, at the Technical Centre in Grand Riviere, Dennery, Anse La Raye and Micoud played to an entertaining 1–1 draw. Kezock Menalle opened the scoring for Anse La Raye before Taj Elien equalized for Micoud in the 30th minute.

In other football action, the Victory Eagles were crowned champions of the Vieux Fort South Football League’s Dr. Kenny Anthony Senior Men’s Competition after edging out Platinum 2–1 at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds on Saturday. Nakim Jones gave Victory Eagles an early lead in the 2nd minute, with Hosea Mathurin sealing the win in the 60th. Platinum’s goal came from Moses Henry in the 23rd minute.

In the Third Place Playoff, Uptown Rebels defeated Shambala Shiloh 2–1. Tyrone Myers (53’) and Marcellus Hippolyte (64’) were on target for Uptown Rebels, while Loran Martial scored for Shambala Shiloh in the 28th minute.
