The St. Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) has expressed deep gratitude to the St. Lucia Olympic Committee Inc. (SLOC Inc.) for its continued investment in the growth of athletics on the island.
In a cheque presentation ceremony held today at Olympic House in La Clery, SLAA President Dora Henry formally received a financial contribution of $29,300.00 from SLOC Inc. President Alfred Emmanuel. This timely funding will play a critical role in supporting the 2025 National Individual Track & Field Championship, which is scheduled to take place over three days: June 14th, 28th, and 29th.

“This generous donation will go a long way in ensuring the successful execution of this important national event,” said President Henry, noting that the support underscores SLOC Inc.’s unwavering commitment to athlete development and sporting excellence in Saint Lucia.
The National Track & Field Championship remains a flagship event on the local athletics calendar, serving as a platform for emerging and elite athletes to showcase their talent and compete for national titles.
With continued collaboration between SLAA and SLOC Inc., the future of athletics in Saint Lucia looks brighter than ever. The SLAA reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a stronger, faster, and more united athletic community across the island.
