
The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has praised members of the public who helped arrest two people in connection with the murder of Stephan Eudovique, who was 27 years old.
“Though proceedings are still in their early stages, the dedication and perseverance of the officers involved in this investigation are commendable, as are the members of the public who contributed to this outcome. While you may not be named individually, your efforts are acknowledged and sincerely appreciated.
“The fight against crime is a shared responsibility, we are all stakeholders, therefore you, the people we serve, are our partners. “You are urged to continue supporting the efforts of the RSLPF to make Saint Lucia a safe place for all people,” the RSLPF said in a press release Thursday.
“If you spot it, report it,” the force instructed, referring specifically to the public.
Eudovique, often known as “Tall Boy,” of La Croix Maingot, Marigot, was fatally shot during a heist at New Development in Belair on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
He received a gunshot wound to the right thigh, which proved fatal. A post-mortem examination conducted on Thursday, December 12, 2024, confirmed this.
The Major Crimes Unit of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force was tasked with leading the investigation into Eudovique’s murder.
According to the RSLPF, police worked tirelessly and determinedly to bring justice to the deceased and his loved ones.
“Their relentless efforts yielded results, identifying two suspects, in connection with the homicide. consequently, a coordinated operation involving the Special Services Unit, Special Operations Team, and the Major Crimes Unit was launched to apprehend them.
On Wednesday, January 22, 2024, this operation led to the arrests of twenty-four-year-old Thankson Alfred, also known as “Pason,” and twenty-seven-year-old Karan Emmason Emmanuel, also known as “Baige,” both of New Development, Belair,” the force reported.
On Monday, January 27, 2024, Major Crimes Unit officers formally cautioned and charged Thankson Alfred and Karan Emmason Emmanuel with the murder of Stephan Eudovique. They were hauled before the First District Court for a bail hearing and were remanded in custody pending future proceedings in their case.
