Prioritize Health and Safety During the Holidays
The Ministry urges the public to prioritize health and safety to minimize the risk of injuries, accidents, and other avoidable health emergencies during the holiday celebrations. Here are some key recommendations:
- Access Primary Healthcare Before the Holidays: Schedule routine check-ups in advance. Ensure that any ongoing medical needs are addressed before the closures of the Community Wellness Centres.
- Refill Prescriptions and Take Medications as Prescribed: Refill all necessary prescribed medications ahead of the holiday closures. Adhere to prescribed treatment plans to avoid complications or disruptions in health management.
- Stay Cautious and Practice Safety: Avoid overindulgence in food and alcohol, as these can lead to health complications. Exercise caution in physical activities to prevent injuries.
- Know Your Nearest Open Facility: Familiarize yourself with the facilities open during the holidays to seek timely medical attention if needed.
The Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs extends warm wishes for a joyous and healthy holiday season to all. Let us work together to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration as we strive to protect the health and well-being of our families and communities.
