“COW” Slapped with Firearm, Ammunition Charges

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force’s (RSLPF) Special Operations Team and Special Services Unit carried out an exercise in the Northern Division on Friday, November 29, 2024.

During the operation, officers executed two search warrants and conducted mobile patrols in Jacmel.

Around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a shooting on Trinity Church Road in Castries. One male suspect was caught while attempting to flee the site of the alleged crime. He was caught, and a Taurus firearm with an eight-round magazine of ammunition was recovered. Further inquiry revealed that he was the suspect in the city’s earlier shooting.

Ricardo George alias “Cow” was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1) Possession of firearm.

2) Possession of ammunition.

3) Using a firearm with the intent to cause harm.

4) Discharging a firearm in public places.

Ricardo George was led to the First District Court to file a bail application. He was granted bail in the amount of sixty thousand dollars cash or appropriate surety.
