Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre on Sunday, September 29, 2024, met with Saint Lucians in Brooklyn, New York. The event, hosted by the Consulate General of Saint Lucia in New York, featured remarks from the Minister for External Affairs, Alva Baptiste. The meeting aimed to update Saint Lucians on developments back home.
Following this engagement, Prime Minister Pierre travelled to Mexico, where he accepted an invitation to attend the inauguration of President-Elect Her Excellency Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo yesterday, October 1, 2024.
During the Prime Minister’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, Hon. Dr Ernest Hilaire, will act as Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Economic Development and the Youth Economy and Minister for Justice and National Security from September 28, 2024, to October 5, 2024.
