ON Saturday, August 5, 2023, at about 4:30 pm, Police Officers attached to the Micoud Police Station received a report of a physical altercation between two male individuals, at Mon Repos, Micoud.
The officers proceeded to the scene of the incident and were met by personnel from the Saint Lucia Fire Service, who were attending to one of the individuals, who had sustained an injury during the altercation. The victim was identified as seventy-four-year-old Peter Joseph of Mon Repos, Micoud.
Peter Joseph was conveyed to the St. Jude Hospital via the ambulance service, where he remained in the care, of the medical personnel at the institution.
On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at about 8:53 pm, police officers attached to the Micoud Police Station were informed by medical personnel from the St. Jude Hospital that Peter Joseph had succumbed to his injuries, whilst in care. This matter is now being treated as a homicide.
One male individual is assisting the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force with this investigation.
