SLFA’s Club Soccer in Full Flow

CT Foundation held their own to beat Agardianz 3-1, in a SLFA Inc. President’s Cup league match at the Dennery Playing Field, last week.

Though Agardianz took the lead with Alex Elibox converting in the 18th minute, the Roseau valley based-team fought back with three telling goals to snatch victory. Goal scorers for CT Foundation were Nicholas Joseph 44th minute, Tevin Delpiche 76th minute and an own goal by Wayne St. Hill in the 79th minute.

Aux Lyon United edged out Garand 2 – 1, with goals                 from Donavan Omnis 23rd and Neillbert Jn. Louis 69th minutes.

At the Desruisseaux Playing Field; DCYO with goals from Nathan Frederick 11th minute and Denelson Jones 55th minute defeated Shambala 2 – 1, with Adrian Henry scoring from the penalty spot in the 74th minute.

Faith United outplayed Black Eagles 3 – 0, with goal scorers Jandel Phillip netting a brace in with goals in the 4th and 76th minutes, and William Cenac in the 80th minute.

At the Dennery Playing Field;

Nyah FC vs. Big Players 1 – 1,

Garrand FC vs. Agardianz 6 – 1 {Rick David scored a beaver trick and Kurby Felix a brace},

At the Desruisseaux Playing Field;

Uprising vs. Desruisseaux United 4-0 {Sherquain Matty scored a brace for Uprising},

Faith vs. DCYO 3- 1.

The schedule of matches for President Cup matches on May 2 were as follows: At the Dennery Playing Field;

Big Players vs. Aux Lyon United, and Nyah FC vs.  City Foundation.

At the Desruisseaux Playing Field: Desruisseaux United vs. Black Eagles, and Uprising vs. Shambala Shiloh.

Meanwhile, the SLFA congratulates Saint Lucian – International wing defender Shanoi Evans for making it to the Jamaica Premier League’s Team of the week 24. According to reports, Shanoi was impressive in Arnett Gardens 2-nil win over Faukland FC as his team remains top of the league.

In the meantime, five matches were played in the Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) Safe Space Futsal competition at the Richfond Playing Field on Sunday (April 30).

Dennery defeated Prospere FC of the Bordelais Correctional Facility 9 – 2, with goals from Saqlain Regis 4, Nico Jnr. 2 and 1 each from Lervon St. Martin, Moll Stios and Ali Edward.

Scoring for Prospere FC were Vixian D’Auvergne and Allius Brin.

Burin FC (BCF) edged out La Pansee 3 – 2 with goals from Rohan Lammy 2 and Akin Louisy , while Nicholas Giraudy and Brendon Auguste scored for La Pansee.

In the Female category; Mabouya Valley drew with Marchand Boulevard 2 – 2, with a brace from Annia Vitalis for M Valley, while Marchand goal scorers were Kertam Ramsey and Judy Octave.

Marchand beat Back on Track 5-1; with a hat trick from Frannie Wilkie added to goals from Mellissa Price and Aline St. Ange, was Kayla Joseph scored for the opponents.

In a Male Div. encounter; Trois Piton and Faith United played to an exciting 2-all draw.

Scoring for Faith United were Mineky Nicholas and Leeboy John, while Oneil Remy and Ronaldo Joseph scored for Trois Piton.

In other updates, matches continued in the Laborie Football League Senior Male football competition over the weekend at the Augier Playing Field.

Results of matches, played on Saturday (April 29) were as follows: County Strikers vs. Herbalist 4-1{with a beaver trick from Kelvin Alexander},

On Sunday; Pascal Joseph SC vs. Connections 4-1.
