Golden Events, a leading event management company in Saint Lucia has launched a new corporate social responsibility initiative called “Way of Carnival.” The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and provide greater access to digital resources for young people, with a particular focus on empowering young leaders.
Amid ongoing digital transformation, Golden Events recognizes the importance of equipping youth with the necessary tools to participate in the continued evolution of utilizing digital resources to enhance academia.
Through strategic collaborations with local schools and community organizations, Golden Events has provided students from the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School [SCSS] with laptops, book bags, stationery, and books.
The organization firmly believes that access to technology, education, and digital literacy skills are vital for the success of youth and the development of a thriving digital economy. To adequately propel this initiative forward, they have partnered with leading telecommunications company, Digicel, to provide superior internet connectivity to the students of the Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary School for a period of six months at no cost.
